MUTTON SNAPPER

Looking to catch something "yummy" for dinner? The Mutton catch is unbelievable! The majority of fine catches have been off of Pickles Reef. Nevertheless, we are still hooking up with nice sized muttons at Molasses and Conch Reef. The average recent catch amongst the crews of The Soz & The Fin Razer have been in the 5-15lb range. The guys on the Fin Razer are using split back ballyhoo suspended approximately 10-15 ft off the bottom. Presentation is very important to these temperamental snappers. Both Captain Brandon & his 1st Mate Alex prefer to use a 20 -30ft, fluorocarbon leader. This technique works well and minimizes the chances of spooking the fish.
